A Maryland-based Christian rapper will spend 18 years behind bars for intentionally running over and killing his music producer.
According to ABC affiliate WJLA, Ryan Salandy was given the sentence on Tuesday, about three months after he was found guilty of executing a hit-and-run attack on 25-year-old William McDaniel. The attack occurred in September 2015 after the men had a dispute over CDs. WJLA reports Salandy—aka Ry Money—had paid McDaniel $300 to burn 150 CDs containing his gospel raps; however, some of Salandy’s text messages obtained by the news outlet suggests the deal went sour.
